Right well I think I have deleted the WPP file and re-installed OK. 
I have lost some images and photos here and there which I can slowly re-instate but at least the hyperlinks seem to be working properly now.

What a Nightmare.

Scrap serif    and use dreamweaver  .

So so much easier.

Well it's just more money and more learning, and having to do it all again Mac.
Serif has been good on the whole.

I would not use either I'd use Drupal, Wordpress or Joomla all free hosting free as well.
