Database problem...
« on: Nov 15, 2012, 09:56:01 »
The problem this morning, which resulted in the message:

Code: [Select]
Table './orpastro_smf/smf_sessions' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
...was fixed using this hint.

Please let me know if fou have information about when (and why) the problem started. Earliest report I received was from Mick at 09:11. Cheers, Mick.

Edit: Ok... The database backup I run automatically in the wee small hours also failed, and the gallery has had a similar problem which I've also fixed... I suspect a server glitch.  :unwell:

Yes, the last time I know it was up was 00:06 when you posted a reply to Fay's Google thread. The earliest indication of a problem was in my backup scripts at 04:30-ish, so whatever went wrong happened sometime between 00:06 and 04:30...

...and the hosting company have confirmed that the MySQL server had a problem in the same time window.
