Dumbbell nebula (Ist bash at Narrowband, problem with darks)

This is my first attempt at narrowband and combining filters.

So far only Ha (Red) and Oiii (green), planning to do Sii tonight.  I have gone for false RGB for the time being.

This is 6 x 1200secs in both Ha and Oiii (planning to add)
Atik 383L, guided with QHY5 and PHD on NEQ6

As you can see there are some technical problems with this, lots of blue and red dots all over the place which I think must be hot pixels.  Either it is something I am doing wrong, or the software is doing wrong, would value some advice before I add the Sii to this image.

Aligned in Maxim and combined in Photoshop using channels (Yet to conquer Mac's method).
Wish I could dither as I think this might have helped.

Think I have answered my own question. 

Just examined the darks and something peculiar has happened to them, they have come out completely blank with no hot pixels showing at all, therefore none got subtracted from the image. 

Very weird, they are actually white and the lens cap was ON.
