That's why you can get away with less stable cooling on those Sony chips (a smaller delta in dark current).  I also think one of the reasons that darks didn't work well with the older SX cameras without setpoint is that it was a blind guess what temperature the chip was at.

The conditions must have been the reason for the noise but the streaks are worrying.  Send an email to Terry at SX and see what he says.
