It wasn't a video Doug. It was nearly 2000 still images that I later processed into a video when I got home. If your camera has an intervalometer function or will allow external intervalometers to be connected then you could do something similar.

Oooh..... Thats got me interested!

Just sent off for a couple of bits on ebay to have a go myself with my Canon 550D from Hong Kong.

Just had a good session looking at plenty of time lapse stuff on youtube in Cities as well as the sky. Looks well worth having a bash. Always loved doing long exposure night stills in London..... I can see a trip coming on!

Les, you could have saved yourself some money and simply used the Magic Lantern firmware. Which is free.
