Has anyone come across one of these:

4500 Euros and a very impressive spec.

Yes I've come across it before.  Pointing accuracy isn't that great and it looks a bit HR but the PE is very low.

Are you thinking of getting one ?

It wasn't clear if the mount was Olly's or Yves's.
But I enjoyed the online discussion about round stars vs guiding accuracy

RobertM

I'm pretty sure it's Yves setup and one of a couple that Olly will be tending for their remote imaging needs.

How will it function after a power failure - how will the mount know where it's pointing without a hardware 'home' position plus there are no safety limits other than in software.  Personally I think I'd have considered a Paramount in that situation but I'm sure cost was the deciding factor here.

Rocket Pooch

Must admit, I'd go for a paramount for that type of work.

I'd happily have a Paramount in any situation :-)

Rocket Pooch

I love the baby one.

RobertM

How are you finding it ?

Rocket Pooch

Well when I get one I'll let you know, but I've had to buy a house this month.
