I'm mildly amused that the BBC chooses to run this story when, for the last month or so, the sun has been almost completely devoid of spots... :wink:

Well, if the SOHO real-time images are anything to go by then there's some activity coming round, and there were some big spots a few days before the Coronado arrived. There've been some nice prominences and filaments over the last few days too.
