Calibration frames - just checking

Mick, I used to do mine on 800 ISO and just pressed the shutter manually briefly.  But I never found anything was showing up on the master flat like dust bunnies or vignetting.  Thanks to John Punnett who questioned my flats and then pointed me in the right direction, I discovered the right way to do them.  I had been over exposing and they were doing absolutely nothing.

I now do 100 ISO using AV (so it is a really brief capture) and use average metering mode.  I also put a piece of white paper accross the aperture in the form of a white paper mask which I find easier than trying to use a T shirt etc etc as it has to be flat.  This of course is with a DSLR.

I was expecting the noise to be eliminated with the summing (or whatever) of the darks etc.
I'll start using 100 iso with my lightbox
