As first I preferred the first one, but now I am thinking the 2nd one looks sharper.
Eye of the beholder I guess.

The first one is a raw image, no processing.

The second on is a stack of 20, with some wavelets applied,
it is sharpened but not that much.
Might have a play later on.

It was very heavy dew last night Mac, nuiscance!

It didnt help that when i opened the dome, the water outside went all over my chair,
Cold all night, although i did have the heater on towards the end.

Mac, they advise you to wipe the dome ledge before opening the dome if it's wet.  As mine is right up against the fence and shed that's more difficult for me so I open it a little bit at a time to give the water time to run off.

I have a dehumidifier running in the Observatory and it works well.  I now have it on permanent drainage so I don't have to keep emptying the tray, which also means it doesn't switch off when it's full.

umm... looks like I am in a minority being the only one that prefers the first image..... OK so my eyes are probably crap. Just think 2nd looks like it has been sharpened a little too much for my like (doesn't look natural) - maybe somewhere between the two.

Does look great though Mac & congrats again on your first light.... John
