I've just spent the last 90 mins playing with google stars, and i can say its fantastic,
its so easy,

i'm off to spend the next 90 mins playing.

Agreed it's excellent - great close up images - you can just keep zooming in for more & more detail - amazing - also great for seeing where objects are in relation to one another in the sky etc...

The constellations of Andromeda, Hydra and Vulpecula are now just a mouse click away for amateur star-gazers, following the launch of Google Sky.

The tool is an add-on to Google Earth, a program that allows users to search a 3D rendition of our planet's surface.
