Part of the Taurus Molecular Cloud

This is planned to be a Mosaic and is the right side of a 2 pane mosaic.  Need to get to Deep Sky again when it is "up" to grab the left hand side.
Not my usual sort of image as don't often get the chance to do Broadband.

Samyang lens, and Atik460EX
Taken at a Bortle 4 Cairds DSC

Lum 22 x 600secs (3h 40m)
Red 9 x 200secs
Green 10 x 200secs
Blue 9 x 200 secs

Decided the above was revolting and have re-done it.



Really struggling with this to get something i like

Was that imaged over 2 nights (Thur & Fri)?

The Samyang lens is giving you a good field of view - plenty of dust to look at!

2 half nights as it rose late.

Great result for such a short exposure.  This area needs a lot of data!  Hope you get to complete it this winter.

Yes it is a bit rough round the edges atm. Tough when you have to rely on DSCs (and the weather) to get these targets. 

Of the 4 nights we were there we had 1 1/2 clear nights that were usable for imaging and Taurus didn't rise until about 11.30.
