Hello all managed capture the Iris Nebula over successive nights back in June but took a while to process this, given the nature of the dark nebulosity and my hopefully improving skill level.

Many thanks to Rick with hi help in reducing the image attributes enough to upload as this one was a challenge.

Posting it up for you,

Carole

John. can you include the equipment and capture details with your image in future, I know you had a struggle with this one posting it up and probably lost the will to live.

Lovely image John.

BTW here's how I post mine from the Gallery...

The IMG url comes from right clicking the album page image and selecting "Copy image address". The click the image and do the same on the big version that pops up for the url= . Then it works just like the Gallery.

I also like to include the gallery page link under the image, thus:
Gallery Link
...but you can also get away with just copying the link from the gallery description and letting the forum turn it into a link:

https://gallery.orpington-astronomy.org.uk/displayimage-2616-_Iris_Nebula_.html

(Do copy the link from the description, not the one from the browser's URL field, as you may have navigated to the page via "latest images" or a search, or some other short-cut, and the next time you use that link you may get something else...)
