Unknown PHP upload error code

I need some help, as when I try to upload an image as a JPG or PNG to the Gallery, I'm getting the following error message "Unknown PHP upload error code."
I have successfully uploaded images a few weeks ago, and even when I try and upload the same images as previously uploaded, I get the same error.
What am I doing wrong?

If you have been successfully uploading them previously it can't be your method, so will have to wait for one of the webmasters to help, maybe it is a temporary glitch in the system.
