     Greetings to all.

Just to formally announce that I shall be standing down from the post of Observing Officer as from the end of 2021. I have really enjoyed being in the position of Observing Officer and feel that after a good few years in the post, it is time to hand over the reins to somebody else. Thanks for all the support that I have received over the years; it is much appreciated. Rose and I will continue to run the Otford Observing evening, until informed otherwise.

     Thanks again, Doug Hopkins.
Always look on the bright side of life ...

Thank you Doug, you have done an extraordinary job at Otford, and helping to bring in new members so I am glad you are continuing with that aspect.

Doug -

Many thanks for all the excellent research and presentations over many years.  You have done a great job and will be dearly missed.  It is really good news that you and Rose will continue to keep the Otford meetings going.  Many of us (including me) found them a great way to get to know members, and to learn some of the fundamentals of observing.
