Help. Has anybody got computer connection cables for my SkyWatcher Synscan handset, RS232 and the power cord as I want to update the firmware on the handset. Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance, Doug.

I have heard of some people(Trying to find details)who have updated the handset and had problems , why do you feel you have to update it Doug?
Although Carole and others will be able to help more as they use handsets.

I can't help I am afraid I never update anything, - if it works don't mess about with it I say.

Tried to update a satnav once and it didn't work anyway.  Drove around for 10 years with an out of date Satnav, and only met 3 junctions in all that time that had changed.

I have an RS232 driver for the handset.  The power cord for the mount will drive the handset (if you are using an HEQ5 - its a standard 12V DC concentric 5.5mm jack, tip positive).

Thanks Noel. I will let you know, as had an offer from nearer me.

Cheers Doug. We are still locked in for another seven weeks...... :( :!
