Any-one watch it last night?  I thought they made the programme well seeing as much footage had to be reconstructed by actors as it wasn't taken at the time, also reconstructions of the manouvres in space was interesting.

I never realised they were on the Moon for two hours before they got out of the LM.

Brought back many memories as we had just come back from our honeymoon (yes we celebrated our golden Wedding Anniversary on 28th June), and we stayed up until the early hours to watch the landing on our mini B&W TV.

Great times.

Was that "8 Days: To the Moon & Back"?
No - not watched it yet; looking forward to it.  But did see Stargazing - Moon Landing Special: Brian Cox and Dara Óbrien
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0006w6z.  Which covers all the ground stuff with Dara and Brian strolling around Cape Canaveral interviewing Charlie Duke and anyone that moves, showing footage of the events. - very good, 2 hours long.  A real backroom fest covering history and the work being done for the return to the Moon. The RS25 engine test is fairly awe inspiring (20 tons of fuel a second - the fuel pump alone is more powerful than a Jumbo jet).
