I was never happy with this image it was far too noisy, especially after seeing it displayed on the OAS monitor last night.

So I re-worked it again to try to reduce the noise.

I forgot to mention (as this is not a well know target) that it is between Sirius and Alnitak, so could not start to image it until after midnight.  So it is quite low.

This is the original:

Atik460EX.ED80 + focal reducer x 0.8

Luminance 10 x 450 binned (decided to bin to save time)
Luminance 2 x 600
Red 12 x 300 binned
Green 11 x 300 binned
Blue 11 x 300 binned

Total imaging time 5 minutes under 4 hours.

Just wondering why the noise , does binning add noise ?

Stretching of dim targets mainly.  Insufficient data.
Careful processing is needed which I needed to improve upon.

Binning only affects the resolution.
