I seem to be picking targets these days that need lots of data and several DSCs as not suitable for home location.

I started this in 2016 at Kelling and tried to get some more data this time, but the clouds stopped play part way.

I got some more luminance and a larger FOV than last year but did not manage to get the larger FOV RGB.
This is still very noisy and needs bags more data even though there is already almost 5 1/2 hours here.

2016 ED120 & Atik314
2017 Dual rig, ED80/Atik460EX + WOZS71/Atik314L

Total Luminance 3h 50m
LRGB collected in 2016 = 1hour 30 mins.

Really nice!

The colours are fantastic.  It needs a bit more noise reduction in the outer areas if you can - data from the wider FOV I guess.  Apply it with a star mask.

Thanks Mark, was a bit unsure whether to even post it up.  I think I have done the noise reduction to death including with a star mask.  I think the only way forward is to get a lot more data.

This was the FOV last time which I took with the ED120 and Atik314, so it took a lot of jiggery pokery to try to join up the colour to the mono only data.

I am happy that I improved the FOV and this works with the dual rig.  I did set up on the last night to do RGB on the larger FOV but it was too misty to grab anything and I had to stop.

It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

Carole

It's a most attractive target Fay, just wish I could do it some justice.
