Nikon 50mm lens on H-alpha modified Sony A7S.
300x30second exposures at F5.6 ISO 10000.

Wow, you've got everything in there, including the Witch Head nebula.

I wonder what the A7S would reveal with longer subs?

I was pleasantly surprised at what came out because I was working at F5.6 which is much slower than the F2.8 of the Tak Epsilon.

Longer subs would make no difference at all because, even at F5.6, sky flux is by far the dominant component of the noise.

That is amazing - standard lens and consumer camera... - such a wide FOV as well - great to see Orion in all its glory... John
