It's one way to get someone else to cook Christmas dinner but surely there are less painful alternatives! Hope you escape hospital soon and feel better quickly.

Oh my Carole. And just before Christmas. Maybe a good excuse to put your foot up ;) At least you can get on with some image processing!

Thanks Julian missed your post on previous page. Hmmm post processing, well there isn't anything outstanding and most things are best on my desktop which is upstairs. Propabably going to mainly live downstairs as .much as possible. I don't have all my add ons such as gradient exterminator and actions on the laptop. All my passwords are upstairs too so going to need some reorganisation.  Carole's

Sorry to hear about the injury Carole. Sounds quite serious. I hope you recover quickly and have the ambulance chasers trying to get some compensation for you!

Hi Carole

Ah, ok...not too bad I guess. 6 weeks is a heck of a long time to be hopping around though.
And what an unfortunate time of the year too.
I hope you are ok and the pain is subsiding and that your leg is on the mend.

Take care and be careful at home especially around your pup!

Finally got home via ambulance late yesterday. Things are not going to be easy due to the fact l am not allowed to put any weight on the right leg for another 5 weeks, lots of apparatus everywhere and trying to plan order of how to do things, pooradrian is going to be run ragged.

Doug and Rose have been marvellous,  they took a lot of my equipment home for me as well as visiting and offered to take me home, but in the end l talked it all through with the hospital, I.e. getting .e to the. Car, the frame l also needed to take etc and they decided ambulance transport would be more straight. Forward.

Duncan is going to de-rig the observatory for me.

Visitors will be welcome.
Hoping to find a way to get onto main computer later.

Glad you are home at  last, Carole. Just be careful and don`t let the dog jump up ...... :D :D. No problem with the help.... that`s what friends are for. Glad you are on the mend.

Hugh called in today with a get well card and popped in to see me.  I grabbed the opportunity to get him to de-rig the Atik and Skywatcher 130PDS and checked all was well in the obsy.  Duncan was going to do this for me next week when he is over, but getting it done sooner rather than later has put my mind at rest.

So thank you Hugh.

Doug and Rose are going to collect the calendars and bring them to the next meeting.

Went to the Fracture clinic today, by DIY adapted wheelchair (for sticking out leg) - saw the Xrays before and after.   Pretty shocked at the size of screws they put in and how many there are, some come out the opposite side.  ....and they offered me to have this done under epidural!!!  Chose general anaesthetic, and seeing as the op took 5 hours and what I have seen today I made the right decision.

Still can't weight bear for another 3 weeks but they want me to flex the knee so it doesn't get stiff and they took my splint away.  So at least I don't have the discomfort of plaster or splint any more, but makes it feel a bit vulnerable.
