Carole wants you to know that while walking her dog yesterday, a playful German Shepherd, knocked her over and she has a fractured tibia.
She is having an operation today.

a polish man, who could not speak english, went and got help, and after a palavar getting her and the dog to their car, he and his friends got her home and waited with her until an ambulance arrived.

I dont know which hospital she is in, at this moment.

Carole

You poor thing! I hope you are not in too much pain (decent drugs!).

How long will you have the cast on for?

Hope to see you soon.

Hugs
Rachel

Rose and I have just returned form visiting Carole in the PRU Farnborough. She is pretty chipper considering the accident; her right leg is broken just below the knee (the tibia) and she is in a half plaster and a thigh length bandage. Apparently she was out walking her dog in the park near where she lives and a playful German Shepard Dog ran into her, knocking her down. I won`t go into the details of what happened after that; it`s a bit complicated,  but she is okay, if you can call having a broken leg okay.....

She has asked me to collect the OAS Calendars for the next meeting, and if she is up for it, her as well. She would like to go to the meeting but she is going to try. We will be collecting her and dropping her back home afterwards. Let us hope her recovery is quick and she can get back to her beloved imaging.

Rachel I think this cast will be on for a couple of weeks, then a splint. Can't weight bear for 6 weeks so have to find ways of doing things with one leg.  Currently being taught.
