I had another go at Lovejoy last night with the Atik314L as I wanted to get more tail.

This is a combination of 15 x 2mins  & 5 x 5 mins. Total time 55mins Skywatcher ED120
Guided on the comet. so almost an hour in total

I then combined that image with my DSLR 450D image from the other night to produce an LRGB
Reminder that was 14 x 2mins

Both images stacked manually in photoshop - DSS works on stacking comets when it feels like it.

Very nicely acquired and processed Carole!

Excellent colour and good tail detail.  The Atik luminance data (with LP filter?) has really cut through your light pollution to reveal the tail.

Thanks Mark,

Forgot to use it.

Really nice Carole. Interesting to combine data from both imagers.

Fay

well done Carole! do you have to do a large crop with the 120?
It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

Thanks Duncan and Fay.

Quotedo you have to do a large crop with the 120?

This is full frame of the Atik Camera, but the DSLR image had to be cropped and rotated to match Fay.
