Nikon Coolpix

Hi all,

Does anyone have any practical skills in fixing the zoom section or working on the insides of a Nikon Coolpix camera, which has stuck and not willing to budge.
I could bring it to Jessops or somewhere similar, but by the time they repair it, the cost would be the same as buying a new one.
But I thought I would save some money and mention the society motto ...........'BEER'...........and see if I would have a response from here.
