I did the Horsehead, last night, with Atik 314L.

There were so many hot pixels, I have never noticed this before. Do hot pixels vary night to night, or are they realtively the same with each camera each time?

Thanks

Fay they should stay pretty constant all the time. Are you sure they are hot pixels and you weren't hit by a shower of gamma rays?

if the ccd gets hotter, you will see a rise in hot pixels. Maybe the ccd cooling is malfunctioning?

Like Ian said it's either cooling not working as well or perhaps it was a very warm night (but I don't think so last night...)

Can you do a dark & compare with similiar ones from a previous session...
