Last chance there going onto ukbuysell....

Chris,

Is this Toucam suitable for Deep sky imaging?  I'm not ready to start this yet and have lots of equipment to buy when I do, so if it's on offer I might start getting things together for later on.

The Webcam I have at present is only suitable for planetry imaging.

It's a webcam - so No.

So just out of interest, what does one use for Deep Sky not having been into that yet?

Carole - You can use a webcam for deep sky but it needs to be modified for long exposure & ideally should have the colour chip exchanged for a much more sensitive black & white. Most people nowadays use a dedicated cooled 16bit astro camera (as price of entry level units has really dropped in last few years) or a DSLR.
