Went out with the intention of doing M45 last night, but it hadn't risen above the houses, so rather than waste the nice clear skies and my enthusiasm, I decided to do another target while I was waiting.

Melotte 15: I know I did this not so long ago but I wanted a wider FOV with the new Scope.  I am hoping to get another evening on both these targets.  It will have to be before I move the camera otherwise the diffraction spikes won't line up.  Not quite sure whether I like the colours, so might change these when I get more data.

Mapped HOS
Ha 8 x 900 + 1 x 600
Oiii 6 x 300
Sii 5 x 300
WIP
SW130PDS, NEQ6, Atik460

M45 with SW130PDS, NEQ6 & Atik460 Baader CC
Lum 8 x 600secs
RGB 6 x 300secs binned x 2 each

You were very productive Carole, they look great I like the colours
It is healthier to be mutton dressed as lamb, than mutton dressed as mutton!

Very nice Carole. That scope produces a good image, very nice for the price! Just paint it yellow...

Melotte 15 is looking really good!

I like the Pleiades as well.  Wonderful diffraction spikes.

Thanks mark and duncan.  Replying from hospital on my mobile and i don't have much data.  Fay will be posting up the story.  Carole

Very nice Carole, it's good that you're persevering and getting usable data.  That in itself is quite an impressive feat !

PS. It looks like there are some artefacts in the low brightness regions of the Melotte image.

Robert

Kenny

Wow, those are both amazing. Fantastic details and colours.

Carole

Thanks Robert and Kenny, will have a look for artefacts when l am looking at a computer rather than a smartphone.  Carole
