After originally deciding not to go out, I was presented with a clear sky at 1am and decided to go out.

I set up the H9 with my 300mm but after working out that there was no way to get focus with the filter wheel,
I reverted back to the Willliams,

M38
Williams optics
Light pol filter
Darks & bias
10 & 300s
Guided with the LX200.

That's looking good.

I don't remember M38 being done before, wouldn't have thought you'd need LP filter from down there though.

I thought that, but after using the D3 the other night, I still get LP.

Although its probably from Haslemere, its not much, but its still there.

and on a 5 min exposure, it will probably add up.

M38 - an unusual choice!  Also very low in the sky!

A great looking cluster though and your image has come out well.  Great to see you getting a chance at imaging again.

Yup,

This week it worked, last week it didn't,
nothing was different, all the cameras, ect in the same ports, same software,
Just a different day.

The joys eh.
