I started the night with this one.

Lx200
H9
Narrowband Filters
Ha red
Hb Blue
Oiii Green

30 in each,
no darks (not needed) exposure was 0.07 secs
Bias's

Stacked each group in registax
Joined in photoshop and then coloured using the Nasa way.
Each layer is a screen with a colour projected through a layer mask.

Excellent - Moons are nicely captured as well.  John

Nice one Mac, you have been busy.

Are the edges looking a bit grainy/blotchy ?

yup. pushed the wavelets a tad too far.

I think for some reason registax missed two alignments as when i was processing them i had three images as if they were internal reflections,
but none of the originals shown any ghosting. i'll have another look at that later.

i didn't really get enough subs, and for some reason the seeing wasn't that steady last night.

The first OAS image from the new Jupiter season.  With a red spot as well!

Nicely captured and with good detail though slightly noisy.

It's not easy doing Jupiter with 3 colour layers - you have to get them done in a short timescale otherwise the planet has spun around slightly.

That looks very good for the number of exposures Mac and the colours look quite natural apart from the greenish edge.

First planet on the forum for a long time. Well done Mac.
