Halley's Comet 2011 ish from Normandy.

Amazing, 3 weeks ago, there were hardly any posts, I go away for 14 days and come back to a myriad of posts,

A very nice collection of  images by all.

Well after 14 days in deepest darkest Normandy I managed to finally get a photo of Halley's Comet, in between the rain and clouds.

Well worth the visit.

Lovely image Mac, but it seems they had problems with light pollution aswell back then, going by the orangey tint to the tapestry.

I was amazed at the length of this, Mac! There were a few cheeky bits along the way as well, did you notice...

We did spend about an hour here,
very impressive,
I took about a dozen photos of the tapestry.
as well as the arrow in the eye.

So much detail to see.
Although we were warned to get there early as the queues build up fast, so we got there before it opened and were 1st
(One up for the british).
Although when we got out the queue was huge.

Still wasnt as bad as Mont saint michel.


The carpark for 4500 cars was full 
and as for the mount, it was standing room only.

They dont, mainly because of the camera's flash.

but because i could take it with out flash i managed to get away with it.
