This weekend at DSC, astronomical night-time will be approx 2 hours long.
By next weekend astronomical night will have disappeared entirely - it won't get any darker than astronical twilight until 20 July

It's astonishing that astronomical night shortens by 2 hours in the space of one week!

This is one of the things that amused me about the new dark sky reserve in Scotland - when you are most likely to be able to get there it's probable that, from an astronomical point of view, it simply won't be getting dark  :roll:
