A mate of mine found these astronomy lecture podcasts and notes that have been made available by a lecturer at Ohio State University.

Course 161 is a foundation level course detailing history and giving a solid grounding.

Course 162 then goes more in depth on some topics.

The following links takes you to the resource pages for the two courses where you can either download the podcasts manually or subscribe using the XML feed or iTunes.

There are over 80 lectures in the two courses and I think they are well work taking the time to listen to.
