Timelapse of a 5.6% Crescent Moon setting into the horizon this evening from Cudham. Canon 450D with Sigma DC 19-200mm lens. 7 x 1/4-1/3 sec images at 200mm, f/11, ISO-1600 followed by 1 x 5 sec image to capture the foreground. Stacked with 4 darks in Startrails. RGB aligned and cropped in Adobe Photoshop CS2.

A couple of other shots from earlier in the evening.

Crescent Moon just above clouds lit up by the sunset.

Crescent Moon slightly over-exposed to show Earthshine.

Rick

It was a pretty sight last night.

Carole

Good work Kenny, you certainly know how to make nice presentations.

I like that a lot. I do like transit photos. Very pretty. I took some Moon photos last night but have yet to see how they look... and really hoping for some Earthshine...fingers crossed  :D

Thanks. It was a last minute decision to drive to Cudham and try for the timelapse. I just had enough time to spare. Was a difficult decision whether to adjust the exposure as the Moon set. In the end I only adjusted the last two as they were so faint sinking into the London light pollution murk (and some distant cloud).

I love that timelapse - very nicely captured and put together.  Well done!
