Post by: The Thing on Oct 26, 2013, 11:55:40
Image date, time and location:       20131024 00:33 - 02:19, Beckenham, UK
Telescope aperture and focal ratio:  Meade LX90 @f10
Camera and filters used:             Canon EOS 1000D, Astronomik CLS-CCD
Processing applied:                  Images cropped and converted to JPG in Irfanview, Giffed in GifApp 1.3

The asteroid is mag 12.1. The three stars in the triangle are mags 14.39 (left), 13.84 (top) and 14.13 (bottom). The star it's heading towards (very dim) is 16.37. I forgot to turn off dithering in APT (doh). There are 21x300s exposures.

Thanks to Rick for tweaking the Gallery to so I could upload this animation.

That's cool. Though it doesn't look right inverted.
