Title: Jupiter and Calisto, Ganymede and Iapetus.
Post by: The Thing on Nov 03, 2012, 16:20:02
Another Jupiter, this time with a very different set up. BTW Io may be on the disc but its a very small image...

Hardware: LX90 8", SCT-2" adaptor, Moonfish 2" 2x ED Barlow, Moonfish extend-able adapter (at shortest setting), Canon 1000D (modded).

Software: APT 1.98 using the Planetary function to capture 100 (configuraqble) frames from the Liveview. I experimented and found you can use the Liveview 5x and 10x zoom with the Planetary function, thought the quality suffers so I didn't use it. Stacked 75 of 100 in Registax. All post-processing in Registax.
