Took it yesterday with the rosette, the clouds were a pain I was only imaging for 2 hours for both.  QSI Rocks, and my processing is ok :-)

The camera Fay!  You can get a lot out of the images.

Looking good, Chris.

I'm doing the Horsey tonight as well.  From the sounds of it, so is Fay and Julian is doing the Flame.

It's a Horsehead Fest!

The sky is certainly a good one tonight ...

Always prefer the mono images, as there seems to be more detail in these, like the images that Fay has done recently.

High Five again.  ;)

Nice start Chris - are you going to put in another 4 or 5 hours ?  With the skies you have an APOD isn't beyond reason...

Ah you are assuming it will be clear again when Orion is about!

Yep, life is full of assumptions, between work, social and clouds - we live in hope !  and there's always next year if all else fails (like it did last winter).

You're probably going to have to add something 'extra' for an apod, I don't think a real image cuts it any more.  Perhaps a Higgs Boson particle with some trees or a cityscape in the background...
