Title: First light with 300mm f5.6

Images taken between midnight and 01:30 on 28th November.
Using MX916 2x2 binned Ha filter taken from Hayes Bromley

NGC2244 and the Rosette neb

Great! - I love the horsehead in the 2nd image - When I Long Exposure mod my Toucam this will be my first target.

fine pieces of work Paul. Juat a question though, the pic of M42 seems a little quantised like you're missing dynamic range. Is it an artifact of the jpg compression?

I was playing arround streching the histogram. Need to have another go at this one.

PS I don't use JPG, I store the images as 24bit PNG's. This appears to provide a better compression algorithm.
