Title: CCD with Camera Lenses
Post by: Rocket Pooch on Oct 28, 2003, 17:22:00
Hi folks,

After looking at Paul's Starlight Express system, gosh its impressive.  I wrote to the supplier of my web cam adaptor to see if I could put together a poor mans version.  I asked him if there was an adaptor available for an SLR lens, he sent the following reply.

http://webcaddy.com.au/astro/slr_to_webcam_adapter.htm

This is going to be quite an interesting adaptor when its ready.  All I need to do now is complete the mods (long exposure and cooling) to my vesta and see what results I can get.

If anyone is interested in either a) helping me complete the project or b) playing with the thing when I get it running let me know.

Bye

True technologies have one on their website. It is important to note that you will probably need extension rings too. Photographic lenses are designed to focus about 40mm behind the back of the lens.

True Technologies also supply a long list of other stuff including filters, flip mirrors and other good stuff.
