This was taken last sunday night/monday morning just before Mars disappears behind my neighbours tree. It was at an elevation under 20degrees and the seeing was not good, even considering the elevation. Still with stacking and some very agressive processing at least some of the features are visible, including the south polar cap.

Hey that's looking good.
I will have a go, once the sky is no longer any good for deep sky, I'm sure it wont take too long
Very impressive. I saw Mars for second time last night from Hastings. Very bright!!
Ian, two questions...
Are you going to submit that image for the gallery?
Is your website back online?
I've got a stack for the gallery. I'll submit when I have a mo.
I am back in the UK permanently from next week, so I'll have a chance to sort out my website. Along with a years worth of DIY...
So there were advantages to being in Holland then
well it's not the usual advantage that people mention, but certainly a better one. Unfortunately with the DIY, it rather like having all your Christmas' taken away at once
