Title: Annual attempt - M31 - The Great Andromeda Galaxy
Post by: Roberto on Nov 24, 2020, 14:43:16
Hello

Hope you are all well.

Every year I have a go at capturing this one.  Despite being a very bright target, it is difficult to capture colours in the arms without being washed out by the light pollution of London to the north of my garden.  Only 6.2hrs of data for this one:  3-4 hours of colour data from the smaller refractor and 2hrs of luminance only from the larger refractor.  The sample image we captured at the end of the last members' meeting, when I was doing the demo, spurred me to give this a go!  :P

Lovely image Roberto, I agree with you about it being difficult to get the colour right on this target.

Terrific Roberto
The star colours really pop out (not a bad galaxy either!).

Thank you Carole and Noel!  I'm glad to have captured anything with the prevalent weather we've had...
