Title: And one of the Sun...
Post by: Roberto on Nov 09, 2020, 17:28:38
Active Region 12781 has kept observers busy.  Despite the Sun being so low, seeing was excellent on Saturday morning and I managed to catch this one just after midday.

Calcium line view of the whole disc:

At last! A solar defect! Nice.
I've been showing friends (we had a local family in our bubble) the sun with my LX90 and camera (*with appropriate filtration!) over the summer and found zilch.

Very good Roberto
How did you get the calcium line?
I assume its a filter?
