Post by: Carole on Jul 31, 2020, 23:50:33
I took this image a while ago with my telescope, and this time I have taken it with the Samyang lens.  A real pig to process and probably needs a dark sky.

Atik460EX and Samyang 135mm @ f2.8
Ha 18 x 600
Oiii 3 x 300 + 2 x 450 + 10 x 600 (all binned)
Sii 3 x 300 + 2 x 450 + 10 x 600 (all binned)
(different length were as I was going along I realise I needed longer subs).
Total 7 hours 42.5mins (Taken over 2 nights)

That's a cracking shot Carole.  The framing and colours are spot on.   8)

That looks very nice Carole.  Quite an interesting area I'm not familiar with.  The patch bottom near left looks very much like the Monkey head nebula.

These wide field shots are very useful for future framing.

Robert
PS. I think your signature is much better.

Thanks Robert, yes I do take notice (re sig).

Yes it does look a little like the Monkeyhead nebula.

That's a great result Carole!  There's a lot to see in that image and the colours are great.

It makes me want to give it a try with my DSLR.

Thanks Mark, would be interesting to see a result of this target with a DSLR, I am sure it will be significantly different.
