Title: NGC3718 and friends in Ursa Major from Petts Wood
Post by: Roberto on Mar 19, 2020, 11:00:05
Managed to finish this one earlier in the week despite the weather.  See full details here: https://www.astrobin.com/4tr7ed/E/ (https://www.astrobin.com/4tr7ed/E/)

There are again a myriad of small galaxies in the wide field version, including compact group Hickson 56, NGC3729 and PGC35202; check the annotated here:  https://www.astrobin.com/full/4tr7ed/B/ (https://www.astrobin.com/full/4tr7ed/B/)

Take care and keep looking up!

Already liked on Astrobin.

Great image Roberto, I tried to get these a couple of years ago, very small I recall and not easy to image, so this is a great result.

Thank you Carole! I first imaged this with an SX camera 5 years ago. It's quite a distorted galaxy and to think that each of the little smudges in the Hickson group is a galaxy itself!
