Title: M106 from Swanley
Post by: Carole on Jan 23, 2020, 15:02:53
Also taken at Swanley Bortle 6.

Needs bags more data, but it was my last night, my original target (cone) had disappeared behind the trees and a clear sky not to be wasted, stopped imaging at 5am!!!
Will try to add more data at a later date.

Luminance 600 x 12
Ha 600 x 4
RGB total of 40mins in 150sec subs binned x 2
Needs a lot more data, but ran out of time at this location and it was 5am in the morning.  But at least it is better than my previous attempt at this target.

Total imaging time 3 hours 17 minutes

Atik428EX, ED80 and HEQ5

That's a good result and the colour look right.  There are also quite a few other galaxies in the background.

Thanks Mark.  I'd really like to do this one at a dark location and get more data, particularly Ha, as there is some nice Ha detail in this target.  But stuck in LP skies for the winter you just have to do your best.

Thanks Roberto.
QuoteYou have to move now!
Hubby would not move, too many friends and hobbies in this area and he gave up driving.
