Title: The Tulip Nebula Sh2-101
Post by: Carole on May 15, 2019, 22:29:48
Taken at Cairds on 13th May during a first quarter Moon. I last attempted this 5 years ago and have been meaning to come back to it.

Hubble palette plus RGB stars.  My first image with a Baader 3.5nm Ha filter,  Still not sure whether it is any improvement on the 7nm.

Atik428EX & SWED120 + FR
Ha 3.5nm 15 x 600
Oiii & Sii binned 300 x 8 each
RGB 4 x 100 binned Each
Mount HEQ5

Total imaging time 3 hours 50 mins on narrowband with a further 21mins for star colour in RGB.

Version 2:  Some people felt the sky background was too bright, but I felt to darken it too much would obscure some of the background nebulosity, so this is a compromise.
