Title: IC1871 Whirling Dervish 3 years apart
Post by: Carole on Mar 17, 2019, 00:38:10
I was disappointed that my recent rendition of this target, did not reveal Oiii data on the lower half of the image (I presume it was overwhelmed by the Ha data).

So I decided to go back to the data I captured in 2016 of the same area where the Oiii was showing and combined the data of both images.

So this is a real mixture:
Taken with completely different equipment slightly different orientation and different scale.

2016 ED80 and Atik314L (3 hours Ha, 45m Oiii and 1hour Sii)
2019 SW130PDS and Atik460EX (3 hours 20mins Ha, 1 hour Oiii, 1 hour Sii)

Totals
6 hours 20mins Ha
1h 45mins Oiii
2 hours Sii

Grand total 10 hours 5 mins

..... like your new credit logo at the bottom of the image, Carole. Much more visible. And the image, of course. :D

Thanks Doug, yes I noticed a few other people doing the same, and I think the watermark on Astrobin is too large, so decided to create my own.  Got to work out a way to recreate it in all future images.

Very good.
Can't see the Dervish, looks like a wolf lying down to me.

I think this is the idea of the Whirling Dervish.  Can't see a wolf lying down.  Lol
