I agree John, a bit like having the moon every day, mind you I don't suppose he had much trouble with sensor noise !

Yes but you rarely get southern aurora so perfect most of time for astrophotography.

Yes John, indeed i think that sometimes  you can image for 24 hours a day, and you might need something else to break it up like aurora and a few penguin expeditions...lol
