Title: Earth's Shadow in 2013
Post by: Carole on Jan 29, 2019, 01:48:40
Not to be confused with Mark's Earth shadow on the Moon.

I came across this old photo that my husband took back at Les Granges in France in 2013 and only realised today the significance of it.

I realised that whilst he was trying to photograph a sunset, he had in fact imaged the Earth's Shadow and the Belt of Venus (the pink band above).

See May's stunning image by Hugh in the 2019 calendar for further explanation.

This is not obviously a members image, but when I saw Mark's thread, I first of all thought he had captured the same thing.
