A glorious sight indeed.

I was reading an article recently the seemed to pinpoint Jesus birth to autumn 2BC.  It's interesting to note that between September and October 2BC there were even more spectacular sights.  On 13th October there was a conjunction of the two brightest planets, Venus and Jupiter, and a few weeks before that the crescent moon bisected them.  That's if SkySafari is to be believed.

Yes, was at an SPA talk some years ago when that conjunction was postulated as a possible 'Star'.

This morning it was just that as Venus poked up over the house at 07:50CET. Very, very bright.
