Is Quantum Efficiency a good yard stick?

All other things being equal, definitely go for the higher QE.
The problem is all other things are rarely equal so it's worth finding out in advance about any potential Achilles Heels.

I have already got the ASI183 mm , so on that regard a good choice. I am guessing with GAIN though...
