Title: Starry area in Cepheus
Post by: Carole on Oct 08, 2018, 23:46:49
This was imaged in error, as my GOTO missed my target Ha ha!  I was trying to image the Shark Nebula and as it is faint wasn't sure if I would see anything, and kept trying to match up star patterns.

Oh well, as it was quite pretty I thought I'd post it up.
Doug you can show this one at the meeting since it's not likely to get distorted by the projector.

2 1/4 hours of imaging time wasted on Thursday 4th October Cairds.

ED80 and Atik460EX on HEQ5, & WOZS71 and Atik314L

Any-one know what that blue blob is middle bottom, is it an artifact, or have I found something?

Nice star field!

The blue blob at the bottom is a reflection artefact from the bright star at the top.  The bright stars at the bottom have their corresponding blue blobs at the top of the image.
